Cockroaches
Cockroaches in a home is one of the biggest fears for home and business owners! They run fast, they hide and they can be huge! They can also carry several diseases and can cause extreme health problems. These are not welcome housemates! German Cockroaches
German Cockroaches are one of the most difficult of the cockroach species to pest manage, whilst they are difficult they are definitely not impossible. German cockroaches are generally found living close to a water and food source. We commonly find them living in kitchens, laundries and bathrooms. We have found them in kettles, toasters, dishwashers and washing machines!
The treatment of German Cockroaches needs precision and patience! PestClear’s treatment for German cockroaches is not a repellent rather a highly palatable food for the cockroaches which whilst they love the taste it is toxic to them. Cockroaches die quickly once ingesting this treatment. Once the German cockroach eggs hatch, they too will eat the treatment and die. Clients will see a significant decrease in German cockroaches after the initial treatment however, due to the life cycle of the cockroach (and having to wait for any egg capsules to hatch) this may take up to a month to completely clear all the cockroaches from the premises. We will remain in constant contact with the you and revisit during this period to ensure they are completely cleared from your premises.
Ants
Ants are a social insect that lives in colonies. It is important that treatment plans include the elimination of the entire colony. Typical ant spays, repellent spray will only kill a few at best. Ants enter premises at times through the smallest holes/openings looking for food, water or to seek shelter. Once they find a food source, ants will leave a pheromone trail for other ants to follow. This is why it is important to ensure that the ants that are seen are used as part of the treatment to remove the colony rather than clear the ones that are seen. Fleas

They will hide (and lay eggs) in a variety of household objects close to where humans sleep such as mattresses, bed frames, furniture, behind skirting boards, loose wallpaper and floorboards, and in cracks and crevices of walls. Bed bugs will generally feed at night when you are trying to sleep and retreat to their hiding spot during the day. We will inspect your premises to ensure that bed bugs are present before tailoring a treatment to suit your needs and commencing treatment.
